A Travellerspoint blog

all seasons in one day 24 °C

A first stop for most when they travel to NZ and is well equiped to suit every travellers needs. Big hostels and excellent nightlife will get you meeting floks of like minded people in no time and will guarantee fun will your at it. Travelling isn't cheap and there are plenty of people in the capital who can help you find a job to pay for all your travel, accomodation and beer expenses. Things to do and see in Auckland:

-Take the ferry across to rangitoto island and bag your first volcano.

-Have a great night out in Auckland's Globe Bar and recover the next day with a timely stroll down to the marina.

-Find work

-Take in sights from the Skytower's observation deck and if you are up for it you can do a controlled jump off the top for the same price as a weeks accomodation.

So all in all a great place to begin your New Zealand adventure.
